The safety and well-being of children, young people and vulnerable adults are a core values of this organisation
Child Protection Policy
Trinity Community Arts has a duty to protect children, young people and vulnerable adults from any form of abuse. This duty applies to all management, staff and volunteers.
TCA's has in place a Child Protection Policy, which is continually under review to ensure children and young people are protected.
TCA is committed to ensuring that any workers who have regular contact with children, or access to those aged under 18, undergo a CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) check for any relevant offences, before they start work. This includes supervisors and those in frontline roles, whether staff or volunteers.
Protection of Vulnerable Adults Policy
It is every adult’s right to live in safety, and to be free from abuse or fear of abuse.
Trinity Community Arts Ltd does not tolerate the abuse of vulnerable adults in any way – whether by intent, or as a result of neglect or ignorance.
Such abuse, whether by staff or volunteers, is regarded as a denial of people’s rights and liberty. In some cases, abuse will constitute a criminal offence.
It is also every adult’s right to live an independent life based on choice - which may involve some risk for vulnerable adults. We respect this choice and will support people in making decisions. Service users should also be helped to voice any concerns or opinions, and should be aware that help is available
Carers and other workers also have a right for their needs to be considered. Good policies and procedures can be used to improve services, and protect workers from accusations of incompetence or misconduct.
TCA's Vulnerable Adults Policy follows guidance from the Department of Health and the Home Office, as given in the documents ‘No Secrets’ and ‘Speaking up for Justice'.
