Finance Assistant

An ideal opportunity for anyone looking for experience in finance and book keeping within the third sector

This role is ideal for anyone looking to gain experience for their first finance job - if you have a college qualification or are currently studying a level 4 AAT we would love to hear from you.

 

Role and Responsibilities

  • assisting the Finance Worker with the administration of our finance systems, in particular clerical duties and book keeping

  • entering transactions onto our accounting system, including inputting details of invoices and client information (Open ERP)

  • assisting the Finance Worker with the effective implementation of finance policy and procedures

  • working with Trinity staff and volunteers to support them in the implementation of financial policies and procedures

  • any other tasks that may be required to support the finance administration of the Company

 

Essential

  • Good attention to detail
  • Strong IT skills with knowledge and understanding of accounting systems and software

  • Knowledge of databases and developing office filing systems

  • Strong administration skills with at least 6 months experience in a similar role (paid or voluntary)

  • Ability to work using own initiative

  • Strong organisation and time-management skills

  • A basic level qualification, relevant to accounting

 

Desirable

  • Experience of working in a community arts or music organisation or the voluntary sector

  • Experience using Open ERP

  • Knowledge of Linux and Open Source software packages
