Youth Club Assistant
We're looking for a volunteer to help us support the delivery of our weekly youth club
Trinity Youth Club has been running since September 2010. We are looking for a vibrant enthusiastic volunteers* to work during term time on Tuesdays between 3pm-6pm.
Your role will be engaging with children between the ages of 7-12 years through creative play, such as arts and crafts and playing a variety of games which can include some sports activities.
We are looking for someone that is inspiring and can bring new ideas to the group. We are particularly interested in hearing from male applicants to provide positive male role models for the children.
Role and Responsibilities

Supervising children and engaging them in play activities

Developing new ideas for project activities and supporting with small funding bids
- Working with the Youth Club team to create a safe, positive environment for children
Essential
- Experience working within an youth or education environment with children

Confident and outgoing with excellent communication skills

Ability to work using own initiative

Confidence to develop good working relationships with a diverse range of community groups, local residents and partner organisations

Strong organisation and time-management skills
Desirable

Experience of working in a community arts or music organisation or the voluntary sector

Experience of building client relationships

Experience of working within a multicultural community and understanding of key issues i.e. working with refugee communities

Fundraising or project management experience
*Please note - volunteers for the Youth Club will be required to provide two referees and undergo an enhanced CRB check.
