This year's event will provide a host of Skiffle and Dub favourites including:
The Mandibles
Bristol/Bath based band whose live shows always rock the party, drawing on elements of jazz, swing, ska and gypsy music.
The Carny-Villains
If you missed their recent escapades at the Invisible Circus then fear not because we'll have them helping us into the New Year with their unique Carny-villainous charm. Your knees won't be able to help but get up.
The Rinky Dinks
Bristol’s first ukulele supergroup comprising musicians drawn from a number of Bristol bands past and present and representing musical genres as diverse as hip hop, metal, house and pop. The Dinks aim to wrestle back all the best tunes from the ubiquitous guitar bands with their unique take on pop music from the 30s to the ‘00s. Not to be missed.
Smith & Mighty with MC Kelz
Anyone who's heard of The Bristol Sound will know of these music greats who were introduced to the dance culture's consciousness in the late 80s. They produced for some of the most renowned musicians from Bristol and beyond, from Massive Attack to Fine Young Cannibals. Rob, Ray and Peter will be provding us with some heavy synthesized dub bass sound to lead us into 2010.
The event will run from 9pm-5am. Early bird tickets are £20 plus booking fee and price includes a free glass of bubbly on entry till 11pm and a free goodie bag with lots of lovely gifts to ease you into the New Year.
There will also be an upstairs chill out room, party games, prize draws and even an indoor bouncy castle!
The event is being supported by several organisations including the Toy Shop, who have provided gifts for the goodie bags.
