Trinity launches new music programme
Oi! It's Punk! - the first gig of three, will be providing performers with the chance to take part in a showcase event, alongside a headliner (to be announced at the start of July) in a thumb-your-nose-at-the-world night of pure Punk subculture.
The Trinity Centre has long played host to major musical events for three decades - providing strong music and cutting-edge shows - from local legends Massive Attack to international artists such as Public Enemy.
As many of Britain's key music venues are being swallowed up by large organisations and sponsors, the Trinity Centre remains one of the last independent music venues in the UK.
Sarah Corfield, an organiser of these music events said that "I've always loved Bristol for being a city that harnesses the sounds of all musical genres and that always has somewhere to listen to live music no matter what night of the week it is. I really feel Bristol music lovers need to have more of those large scale nights and events where the music is always of high quality and you are entertained from the minute you walk in the door. There are so many pubs and venues doing their all to support the Bristol music scene, we just want to make sure we're doing our bit."
"Trinity is one of my favourite venues for pure ambience" - said one event goer. With the best professional sound and lighting engineers, as well as a range of other creative talents on tap to assist with creating the right decor and atmosphere, Trinity is fast developing their reputation for providing great quality gigs. "This is especially important for unsigned acts looking to perform as it gives them the experience of working with other professionals in the industry."
Ensuring we maintain this reputation is crucial, as performing at this legendary venue is fantastic credos for up-and-coming artists.
Trinity gratefully acknowledges financial support from the PRS Foundation, which has helped to make these events possible.
