Our annual free garden party featuring Kid Carpet, The Ten Pound Suit Band, Gecko and more...
- Kid Carpet
-
Kid Carpet is Bristolian ‘electwrongica’ prodigy Ed Patrick, a one-man band hauling a shopping trolley full of toy guitars, Casio keyboards, and sticky-tape covered samplers - Amazon.co.uk His studio is called Toybox – tells you all you need to know. His live sets are the epitome of childish glee tempered only with moments of supreme savoire-faire regarding unemployment lines and adult love. - Gigwise.com
- The Ten Pound Suit Band
-
The Ten Pound Suit Band bring their mischievous, blues brothers personality on stage with them in their physical performances and in the swinging energy of their music, but it’s the Male vocalist with his cheeky suave that captures a quintessentially ‘cool cat’ vibe. It’s not usual to hear such a range in songs from one band, let alone a range of songs swathed in authentic southern inflections, but female vocalist Laura is highly skilled in delivering the kind of voice that lends itself to the bi-polar stretch between country and blue grass to 90’s pop, whilst keeping her own sense of vocal style. - Bristol Sparks Website
- Gecko
-
Produced and mixed by Peter Miles' expert hands (The King Blues, Sonic Boom Six) this is pop music with a punk rock ethic, dance music with a singer songwriter's eye for narrative, Acoustic music brimming with electricity. Gecko has received airplay from BBC Radio 1 (Mike Davies), BBC 6 Music (Tom Robinson), Kerrang! Radio and BBC Radio Bristol. ‘Gecko's album is quite brilliant...It was a delight to hear and to play on the programme. Varied, full of charm and wit, and tracks you can dance to. Job done!’ - Gary Smith, BBC Radio Bristol introducing

Zen Elephant are emerging as one of the Southwest’s freshest and most original bands. They create an acoustic-based groove accompanied by passionate vocals, deep bass lines and lively drums and percussion – guaranteeing elevating live performances. "Zen Elephant convincingly meld a wide range of styles into their own distinctive sound that is coherent and above all very accessible. ‘These Are The Times’ has all the richness and credibility that the discerning music fan could want, bundled in with grooves you can dance to and hooks you can sing along to." - The Ear Horn

"Epic, we love it!"- Richard Pitt and Gary Smith, BBC Introducing "I'll say it again: They're gonna be stars: Quality songs, passionate singing, and Joe Mountain's guitar playing has the skill and restraint that Johnny Marr had in The Smiths. " - Charley Dunlap, Charleyspace.co.uk
- Sloe Jam
-
Two singers, two song-writers and a sackful of grown-up songs performed in all their naked gorgeousness! Influenced by the sounds of Paul Simon, Bob Dylan, Pink Floyd and Leonard Cohen. “Uplifting, earthy, food for the soul. I wish I could do it like these guys, but I can't because I'm talentless.” - Edson Burton, limerick poet, local pervert and park bench warbler
