Preserving and celebrating the diverse heritage of our local communities

Heritage achievements

  • Promoted heritage through the delivery of two Heritage Lottery Funded projects, which have helped to bring communities together and increase awareness of the cultural heritage of the building and local area
  • Developed an online archive to support the documentation and recording of community culture in Bristol
  • Worked with English Heritage to carry out a conditions survey to identify key areas of work required for the preservation of the former Holy Trinity Church
  • Worked with Old Market Community Association, to support with the development of a Heritage Trail and heritage related activities for the area

Bridges

Bridges

Arts Council funded project working with local people to share stories and create artwork together

Visual and performing arts project exploring the theme "bridges"

A programme of accessible arts workshops using spoken word, creative writing, performing and visual arts, to draw out personal stories of local people.

We will use the arts to build bridges between communities and celebrate the rich cultural diversity of inner-city Bristol.

The project will culminate in a final performance event at the start of 2013, inspired and adapted from works produced by participants throughout 2012.

We want everyone to get involved. If you are a community group, individual or artist interested in the project, please contact bridges@3ca.org.uk to register your interest.
