Trinity Centre Development
Redevelopment plans for the Trinity Centre
Trinity Community Arts are working on plans to carry out essential redevelopment works to the Trinity Centre. The works will allow us to provide an increased range of services, making the space more accessible, affordable and appropriate for our diverse communities.
We are seeking grant funding to invest in the development of upstairs hall space, including repairs to windows, improving insulation and installing an efficient, sustainable heating solution. We would also look to installing multi-purpose lighting and a sprung wooden floor to improve accessibility and increase availability of quality dance and performance space in the area. We would also like to make significant improvements to the external grounds, with better signs and layout to improve accessibility.
We hope that centre users will benefit from:
-
improved access to better and more adaptable facilities
-
availability of more affordable, subsidised provision
-
increased project, training, and volunteer opportunities
-
a wider range of dance and fitness activities
-
better resources for communities to develop their own activities.
Redevelopment will allow us to provide additional services including:
-
opportunities for residents to participate in activities to reduce isolation and improve psychological and physical health and well-being
-
services for marginalised communities to encourage social integration, promote understanding, and improve community cohesion
-
training, workshops and activities for unemployed people to improve qualifications, employability, confidence and aspirations, work and life skills.
