Community Gardens

Community Gardens

Trinity Community Gardens are cultivated and maintained by volunteers

Visitors

  • The Trinity Gardens are open 24hrs and anyone is welcome to come and sit in the garden and enjoy the grounds.
  • Dogs are welcome but please scoop their poop and keep with you at all times!

  • This is an open garden space with a busy car park – for their safety, please supervise children and pets

  • Please take any rubbish with you and respect the plants and polytunnel

General garden rules & safety advice

  • A trained First Aider is available on site at Trinity any time the building is in use. Therefore we recommend that you only garden during times when the building is open to the public.

Gardening & permaculture

  • If you are interested in gardening and permaculture, the regular volunteer day is every Thursday 12pm-5pm

Gardening & Permaculture

Gardening & Permaculture

Thursdays, 12pm-5pm

Come and take part in our weekly volunteer drop-in. Learn to grow fruit, veg & herbs at the Trinity Gardens. Get fit, work outside, meet people, and gain knowledge and practical experience.

The sessions are a mix of ideas and hands-on work in the thriving community garden. We have a poly-tunnel, compost loo, lots of fruit trees and a friendly bunch of volunteers.

Learn how to:

  • Grow fruit and veg

  • Plan your season

  • Work with limited space – stacking it up

  • Grow in containers

  • Build fertility – compost, wormeries, green manures

  • Make a garden for medicinal and culinary herbs

  • Fruit bush and tree pruning

  • Avoid pest and disease problems

Eastside Roots

Eastside Roots

Connecting communities & developing skills

Eastside Roots was developed out of a Bristol Permaculture Group idea to provide a ‘gardening hub’ for the local community while at the same time rejuvenating a piece of derelict land in Easton. They welcome anyone wanting to help out, whether it be to gain skills and knowledge about horticulture and sustainable living or just to meet other like-minded people.

They rejuvenated the Trinity Gardens through regular volunteer workdays, growing a variety of plants, veg, fruits and flowers.
