Come and be part of one of the most exciting community arts venues in Bristol!

Led by Alison, our Bookings Administrator, you will assist the Trinity Team, by being the first point of contact for centre visitors and users.

We run a wide range of activities from dance classes, weddings, parties, public forums, music events, cultural celebrations and more. The role will require someone who is willing to work flexibly and independently, with minimal supervision, to ensure our policies are adhered to. The ideal candidate will be able to work with a diverse range of people, be able adapt to an ever changing environment and have a passion for community arts.


Our busy reception is open 9.00 am – 5.00 pm Monday to Saturday

We are looking to recruit volunteers to assist in providing reception services to callers to the office and to provide some admin support to our teams, so we would like a commitment of at least half a day per week, for at least 3 months.

Receptionist Tasks

As the first point of contact for Trinity, tasks include:

  • welcoming staff, visitors and hirers
  • ensuring all building users sign in and out of the building for fire safety
  • responding to initial enquiries via phone, email or in person
  • providing general information and assistance to visitors
  • show prospective hirers around the premises
  • sign for deliveries and sorting post
  • responding to bookings enquiries, understanding Trinity rates and community discounts
  • helping to monitor the shared info@ email account, forwarding enquiries to relevant team members

Person Specification

Ideally, you are someone with Reception/Admin experience (but not essential), with telephone/face to face manners and an a sunny disposition.

You will have good time management, show lots of initiative and be flexible and adaptable in this often busy and challenging (yet very rewarding!) environment. Click here to read what one of our regular volunteers has to say about their time at Trinity.

Skills and abilities

  • Ability to work with people from a wide variety of backgrounds, where English may not be their first language
  • Ability to explain information clearly
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Willingness to work closely as part of a small team
  • Computer skills, including office packages, Internet, email and database skills
  • Reliability and punctuality
